Woodbury

Explore the Area

Countryside on your doorstep

Woodbury sits in the Worcestershire countryside on the edge of the historic village of Dodford, surrounded by woodland, fields and quiet country lanes.

Step outside for countryside walks, head to a local pub, or a little further afield to discover historic houses, villages and some of Worcestershire’s best-loved landscapes.

STRAIGHT FROM THE DOOR

Walk, wander and explore

One of the pleasures of staying at Woodbury is being able to leave the car behind. Woodland and countryside walks begin just a few hundred metres from the house, with routes through the surrounding fields, lanes and historic Dodford countryside.

For something longer, the waymarked Royal Hunters Walks explore the countryside around Bromsgrove and Dodford, with circular routes of 5, 8 and 12 miles.

And, of course, a country walk is even better when there’s a pub involved.

EAT & DRINK

A country pub within walking distance

The Dodford Inn (recently renamed to Alfreds at The Inn) is tucked away in the countryside close to Woodbury and makes a natural destination for a walk from the house.

Known locally as the “Pub in the Field”, it sits within six acres of Worcestershire countryside and is also on the route of the Royal Hunters Walks. It does operate as a wedding venue too so it's always worth checking they are open when you plan to visit!

There are plenty of other country pubs and places to eat around Bromsgrove too, making it easy to head out for lunch or dinner without travelling far.
