Can we book the Shepherd’s Hut separately?
No. The Shepherd’s Hut is available as an addition to the main house for groups requiring accommodation for up to 12 guests. It is not rented independently.
Is Woodbury suitable for celebrations?
Absolutely. Woodbury is particularly suited to birthdays, anniversaries, family gatherings, reunions and pre-wedding stays. We welcome celebrations amongst the guests staying at the property, but the house is not available for large parties or events involving additional visitors.
Can we arrange a private chef?
Yes. Private chefs are very welcome and several of our guests have chosen to have meals prepared at the house for special occasions.
Are there bedrooms on the ground floor?
Yes. Three bedrooms are on the ground floor, including two double bedrooms with en-suite facilities and a king-size bedroom. There is also a separate ground-floor cloakroom with WC and hand basin.
Is Woodbury suitable for guests who have difficulty with stairs?
The main living areas, kitchen, dining areas and three bedrooms are all on the ground floor, so guests who find stairs difficult can enjoy their stay without needing to use the upper floor. The outdoor dinning terrace is step free and accessible directly from the kitchen. Please contact us before booking if a member of your group has specific accessibility requirements and we can explain the layout in more detail.
Do you provide a cot or high chair?
We don’t currently provide cots, high chairs or children’s tableware, so guests travelling with infants will need to bring all equipment with them.
Can we bring a dog?
One well-behaved dog is usually welcome by prior arrangement. A £40 pet fee applies.
Are there any rules for dogs?
Dogs must not be allowed upstairs, in bedrooms, on furniture or inside the Shepherd’s Hut. We also ask that dogs are supervised when using the garden and paddock.
Is the garden dog-proof?
The garden is not fully fenced, so we cannot describe it as completely dog-proof. If your dog is inclined to wander or explore, they will need to be supervised while outside.
Are there pubs and restaurants nearby?
Yes. There are several pubs, restaurants and takeaways within a short drive, together with countryside pubs that can be reached as part of a longer walk. Our Explore page has some of our local recommendations.

Can I ask a question before booking?
